Charity
Gala 2009
|
The year 2009 was a struggle
for many fundraising ventures, but with the help and
commitment of many long time supporters and the gracious
help of Dave Roberts as Chair and Bobby Rydell as our
performer, the Charity Fundraiser was still a success. The
venue and format were switched to make the evening less
expensive for our loyal donors and yet maintain the evenings
elegance, excitement, and reputation as an night of great
entertainment. The reception started out with a performance
by the Shooting Stars in the lobby of the Annenberg doing
the music from Hairspray.

This
dynamic opening set the stage for Bobby Rydell and the Carmen
Dee Orchestra as they did Bobby Rydell hits from American
Bandstand, Bye Bye Birdie and summer Jersey shore classics.
Bobby Rydell then came to the after reception where he met with
all his fans and St. Ignatius Nursing Home supporters signing
autographs and posing for photos.

Roseanita Coffey, Bud and Eileen Hansen, John Gordon,
Norbert and Doreen McGettigan, Sister Agatha, George and
Barbara Nise and Patrick and Marie O’Connor

Cardinal
Rigali Visits
|

|
Cardinal Justin Rigali visited St. Ignatius Nursing Home on
August 13, 2007 for his pastoral visit. Residents, employees
and guests welcomed the Cardinal as he celebrated the Eucharist
in our Chapel. After Mass, Cardinal Rigali visited with many of
our Residents, going from floor to floor. The Cardinal held
hands, spoke with and blessed Residents who were not able to
attend the Mass. |
